Personal

Jamie became the Student Ministries Pastor at Forest Baptist Church in May of 2008. Before coming to Forest Baptist Church he served as the Associate Pastor of families at Calvary Baptist Church in Staunton, VA. He has also served in several other churches in the Raleigh-Durham area in the role of Children's and Youth Pastor. Jamie Graduated in 2006 from Liberty Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts in Religion and in 2001 with a Bachelor's Degree in Religion and a concentration in youth ministry from Liberty University. Jamie was born in Charleston, SC and grew up in Altoona, PA.

Family

In the summer of 2002 Jamie married a beautiful southern bell. His wife Crystal is a vital part of his ministry and his help mate. His family would add two more members in the years to come. In the spring of 2004 Caleb was born. Caleb is full of energy and loves all things outdoors and trains. In the spring of 2007 his daughter, Brianna was born. Brianna is a happy, music loving little girl.

Passion

Jamie's passion is expressed in the area of Youth and Family Ministry, Missions, and the Study and Communication of God's Word.

Youth and Family Ministry: Through many years of working with youth and their families Jamie has found the best way to minister to youth is through their families. The scriptures are very clear on the importance of the role the family is to play in the discipleship process. It is of utmost importance that any student ministry partner and equip parents to train up their children in a God honoring way.

Missions: In the past, Jamie has led several mission trips both nationally and internationally. These experiences have shown him there is great reward in seeing students and their families come back from a mission trip with a burning passion to see the world come to know Christ.

Communication of God's Word: As a teacher of God's Word, Jamie is passionate about the study and communication of God's Word. He believes it is vital for our students to know the truth and make it know to others.
