Administration and Missions
Joe and his family have been a part of Forest Baptist Church since 2002, and in September 2007 he was called to be our Church Administrator and Minister of Missions. Joe brings to our church thirty years of experience in business administration and a demonstrated commitment to missions. Prior to joining the church staff, Joe worked at Genworth Financial, GE Capital, and J.Crew. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Averett University and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.
Joe has been married to his wife April since 1987. April works for World Help and has been there for more than 10 years.They have two children: Joseph (married to Lily) and Kyle (married to Elizabeth).
Joseph is a 2010 Biblical Studies graduate of Cedarville University and was married to Lily in 2011. He also holds an M.Div. in International Church Planting and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Lily is a RN graduate of Cedarville University. Joseph and Lily live in the Lynchburg, VA area and have six sons: Hudson Joseph, 2014; Grayson Andrew, 2015; Jackson Edward and Carson Russell, 2017; Pierson Standwell and Bryson Jon, 2021.
Kyle is a 2013 Mechanical Engineering graduate of Virginia Tech and was married to Elizabeth in 2015. Elizabeth is a 2015 Criminal Justice graduate of Liberty University. Kyle is employed by Collins Aerospace and they live in Kernersville, NC. Kyle and Elizabeth have a beautiful daughter, Madelyn Grace, 2017, and a son, Colson Robbie, 2019.
Joe and April are so very thankful that God has blessed them with such a wonderful family, and especially those grandchildren!
The Veres family has been involved in missions for many years. They have served internationally in Brazil, Costa Rica, Macau, Mexico, Nigeria, Romania, Saint Kitts, Taiwan, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago and Uganda. Domestically they have served in VBS events in Vermont, South Carolina, and New York, in Disaster Relief in Kentucky and West Virginia, and in local missions in the Forest area through the church.
